AMPS announces the release of B2B, the "beat-to-beat" tool

 New York, December 9th, 2014

AMPS LLC announces the release of the first version of B2B: the AMPS “beat-to-beat tool for the analysis of continuous ECG recordings.

B2B is part of the comprehensive AMPS CER-S (Continuous ECG Recordings Suite) architecture; the AMPS solution for the global analysis of continuous ECG recordings of any length (including the classic Holter recordings) released in March 2014.

The B2B platform is the AMPS solution to those needs expressed by several Pharmaceutical companies and CRO laboratories for a new and reliable tool to help in the assessment of continuous ECG data in clinical trials.

B2B allows to annotate, in a fully automated way, each ECG beat of the continuous 12-lead ECG recording in ISHNE format, providing PR, QRS, QTpeak, TpeakTend and QT intervals, on each lead and on the Vector Magnitude lead. In addition, B2B also computes two quality metrics that provide assessment of the noise level and of the heart-rate stability preceding each annotated beat.

B2B Includes a dedicated user graphic interface allowing the reviewing and editing of the measured annotations and tools for identifying outliers and time trends for each annotation as well as QT/RR, QRS/RR and QTpeak/RR plots. In addition the user can flag measurements according to the level of the quality metrics, thus permitting a comprehensive assessment based on noise and heart-rate stability criteria.

B2B outputs the full matrix of all annotations for each measured ECG beat, on each lead.

Fabio Badilini, PhD, FACC, Chief Scientist and AMPS founder commented: “In the last few months AMPS has been working on several tools dedicated to the realm of continuous ECG recording. The analysis performed by B2B is needed by various different methods as the first step for the assessment of QT prolongation in new compounds and empowers statisticians to work from reliably measured continuous ECG data files”.

As of today B2B is available for licensing to all AMPS customers. AMPS will be available to assist with the customization and interpretation of the output data to help its customers in performing the required/desired methods.
