AMPS LLC discloses Bravo, the algorithm for the automatic measurement of ECG traces

AMPS is proud to announce the completion of Bravo the new automatic measurement algorithm soon to empower two of the most successful AMPS tools: CalECG v3 and FAT-QT.

After many years of research, experience accumulated by partnering with the most successful Clinical Research Organizations worldwide, and by using more than 300.000 annotated ECGs from different studies and different CROs, AMPS was able to distill a state-of-the-art algorithm for the automated analysis and measurement of 12-lead ECGs.

Fabio Badilini, PhD, FACC, Chief Scientist and AMPS founder commented: “ We have been developing this new algorithm on the kernel of the already existing CalECG v2 algorithm focusing on the precision of the measurements, by both exploiting the feed-back of our largest customers, and the research work done in collaboration with the Parisian “Institut pour le Développement de la Science, l'Éducation et la Technologie” in the last few years”. He also added: “I am particularly proud both for the result we achieved and of the AMPS team of engineers that helped in achieving such a major leap forward for our customers”.

The major features of Bravo include:

   - detection of PR interval onset

   - detection of QRS interval offset
   - optimization/tuning of QT interval measurements
   - new design of Median beats generation
   - QTpeak interval
   - additional amplitudes (e.g. Q, R and S wave amplitudes)
   - new re-polarization morphology parameters based on Gaussian Mesa function data fit

Bravo will be implemented in production within the following weeks and will be used to further improve the efficiency of both CalECG v3 and FAT-QT, two of the most well-know and popular AMPS tools. All AMPS customers already licensing CalECG v3 or FAT-QT will receive the upgrade to the new Bravo-powered versions free of charge, as part of their license agreement.
