AMPS LLC releases the new version (version 2) of FAT-QT, a tool for fully automated analysis of ECG traces

AMPS is proud to announce the official release of version 2 of FAT-QT (Fully Automatic Thorough-QT), which brings together the features of the company’s two successful and enhanced tools, CalECG v4 and the FDAEcg Suite v2, making it a single platform capable of performing a fully automated analysis of 12-lead ECGs.

FAT-QT v2 combines the advantages of a much-improved measurement algorithm of CalECG v4, as well as the enhanced filters developed for our AMPS FDAEcg Suite scoring module, which empowers it with the capability for much faster analysis of ECG traces. This enhancement makes it especially useful in the context of Thorough-QT studies, and in clinical trials in general, via pre-processing, measuring, and sorting of all the ECG traces in different quality sets.

With FAT-QT v2, ECGs are at first automatically annotated with the improved algorithm of CalECGv4 and then, using different Scoring Metrics, they are classified into different quality categories. Both the Scoring Metrics and the Number of Categories are user configurable. At the end of a FAT-QT session, the potentially needed expert review can be limited to the lower quality ECG subsets, thereby greatly reducing the time and the resources spent on manual review and analysis of ECGs for each study. FAT-QT v2 therefore enables users with reliable, faster, and cheaper processing of large numbers of ECG traces.

This new version (v2) of FAT-QT offers some major enhancements:

  • Inclusion of the latest version of BRAVO measuring algorithm
  • Full management of JTp/TpTe interval annotations
  • Inclusion of FDA Public Library open Source Codes (ECGLib)
  • Addition of following new scoring metrics:
  1. JTp interval measured by the algorithm. Global JTp on Representative Beats (superimposed) generated by AMPS
  2. T-wave area-based parameters
  3. Parameters from Gaussian Mesa Functions modeling of the T wave on PC1 lead
  4. T-wave complexity can now be assessed on all leads
  5. T-wave amplitude can now be assessed on all leads
  • Compatibility with Windows Server 2016 Operating System
