The original “bin” method: the

Introduction - 1
WinAtrec is a dedicated tool for the advanced
analysis of Holter-based records. It includes:
The famous “Bin” method, where ECG
beats are grouped based on heart-rate and
an average beat is generated for each
heart-rate based Bin.
The Time Bin analysis, where ECG beats
within a certain time-window are grouped
together and an average beat is generated
for each window.

The WinAtrec tool is based on two
analysis “phases”.
A command-line phase, to be used for the
fully-automated batch analysis process.
A graphical interface, for reviewing both
heart-rate and Time Bins ECG
measurements.

Command-line usage
The analysis can be customized:
Leads to be annotated (3 leads can be selected)
Time bins resolution
Rate bins resolution
Minimum number of bin beats for analysis
Maximum noise level for analysis
Holters periods to be analyzed
Advanced settings (Trigger Jitter and re-sampling
rate)

Analysis review
The analysis can be reviewed via
three different Panels:
Trends. The QT and RR intervals of each averaged beat
(generated for each heart-rate based Bin) are displayed.
Waterfall. The waveform of each averaged beat is
displayed.
Tables. The measurements are displayed in a tabular
format.
From these panels it is then possible to access the “1-Beat
View” to review the annotations of the averaged beat.

Exportation
At the end of the analysis review
phase with WinAtrec’s Graphical
interface, the results are automatically
saved and exported in a tabular format
for subsequent importation in
spreadsheet applications or statistical
analysis packages.
